Boosting the super Roofer
Press S. WOOFER.
"S. WOOFER" will light.
•When listening to the sound through the speakers:
Each time you press the button, the level will change as follows.
MID (medium)-* MAX (high)—» Light off (OFF)

When S. WOOFER is on and either MID or MAX are not displayed
then when S. WOOFER is pressed, the current level will be displayed.
Pressing the button a second time will change the level.
•When listening to the sound through the headphones:
Each time you press the button,
ON <—* OFF
To cancel, press S. WOOFER to select OFF.
("S. WOOFER" will go out.)

You cannot record with S. WOOFER effect.
"S. WOOFER" is only effective on sounds which can be heard
through the speakers or headphones.
Using the internal sound quality
Press PRESET/MANUAL to select the desired mode.
Each time you press PRESET/MANUAL, EQ and SPACE modes will
be switched as follows.
HEAVY —* CLEAR HALL—»MANUAL

Q] HEAVY: Use to add "punch" to rock and other music.
[ 2 j CLEAR: Use to clarify the treble range of jazz, etc.
[3j HALL: Use to impart a deep bass and spread which will
make you feel as if you were in a large concert hall.
® MANUAL: Refer to the "Finer sound quality changes" section on
page 29.
To cancel the EQ SPACE effect
Press EQ SPACE ON/RAT to select "FLAT".
Notes
•Recordings cannot be made in the HEAVY, CLEAR, HALL or
MANUAL modes.
• Recording during use of sound quality operation will cause the
"HEAVY", "CLEAR", "HALL" and "MANUAL" indicators to dis¬
appear and light again when recording is completed.
