Recording onto left over space on tapes (LINK):
After the edit-recording of loaded CDs have finished, you can subse-
quently edit-record other CD(s) on the remaining blank portion of the
tape.
For your reference:
Itis better to use a tape slightly longer than the CD playing time when
recording.
You can link up another CD when “LINK” flashes after editing a CD.
il Press 4 OPEN/CLOSE to replace the CD with
another one.
The tray of the last dise (disc 5) will open. Load the new CD in
there.
To open trays other than disc 5, hold down the &
OPEN /CLOSE a bit longer, The dise Mas, urill be displayed i

sequence on the display.
Release the button when the No. you want is displayed.

®lf you select a tray other than disc 5 and link it, linking will
continue from the selected tray up to disc 5.
elf you were recording programmed tracks, the tray with the
disc you were recording from will open.
Press P.
Linking will start.
To continue linking tracks:
Repeat steps 1 and 2.
As long as there is space on the tape to record, when
finishing, the cassette deck will put linking on standby.

Linking programmed tracks FJ
(1) Perform step 1 above, and then press PROGRAM on the remote
control.
@) Select the track number from the remote control with the numeric
button(s),
@) Repeat step ©) until programming all tracks (max. 24 tracks).
@) Press ® . Linking «will begin.

@When recording from a programmed CD other than disc 5, if you
press the & OPEN/CLOSE button, the tray with the programmed
CD will open/close.
eWhen the display shows “0:00”, you cannot record from another
CD. Press Mf on the CD changer.
elf the time remaining on the tape is shorter than the length of the
tracks to be recorded, you cannot record the tracks. Replace the CD
with the tracks shorter than the time remaining on the tape or press
on the CD changer.
