Performance verification
Frequency/pe
riod test
This test verifies the frequency accuracy of the arbitrary function generator. All
output frequencies are derived from a single generated frequency. Only one
frequency po
int of channel 1 is required to be checked.
1. Connect the arbitrary function generator to the frequency counter as shownin
the followi
ng figure.

2. Push the Default front-panel button and the OK menu button to recall the
arbitrary function generator default setup.
3. Set up the arbitrary function generator using the following steps:

4. Check that reading of the Frequency Counter is between 0.999998 MHz and
1.000002 MHz.
5. Set up the arbitrary function generator using the following steps:

Function Pulse
Pulse (front)
6. Check that reading of the frequency counter is between 0.999998 MHz and
1.000002 MHz.

NOTE. Frequency counter values must include stability and aging.
