Acquisition
Acquisition
This section contains concepts of and procedures for using the acquisition system.
Signal path compensation
Use this procedure if the temperature has changed more than 5 °C (9 °F) since the last signal path compensation (SPC).
Perform the s
ignal path compensation regularly to ensure that your measurements have the highest level of accuracy.
Tektronix considers it a best practice to run SPC when using the instrument to measure s ignals with higher sensitivity
(10 mV/div and lower) settings regardless of temperature shift or time since it was last run. Failure to do so may result in
the instrum
ent not meeting warranted performance levels.
1. Prerequisi
tes: instrument powered on
for 20 minutes, and all input signals
removed.
2. Select Instrumen t Calibration.
3. When the Temperature Status changes
to Rea
dy, click Run SPC to start the
calibration. Calibration may take 10 to
15 minutes.
