Chapter 3 Components and Power Supply
The following chapter provides detailed information on the chassis of the RS123 router family and its components.

3.1 Components
3.1.1 Front panel
The following figure shows the front panel:

1 LED panel.
2 ETH1 to ETH4. 4-port Gigabit Ethernet Switch.
3 ETH5. WAN Gigabit Ethernet. RJ45 connector.
4 ETH5. WAN Gigabit Ethernet. SFP connector.

USB. Slot where you can insert a 3G USB modem.

Console. USB connector providing access to the device's local console for config-
uration and monitoring purposes.

FUNCTION. WPS (Wireless Protected Setup) button. This allows Wi-Fi network
parameters to be configured easily and securely.

RESET. Reset button. For further information on how the reset button works,
please see RESET button on page 12.
The LED panel provides information on the status of the components (whether they are active or not) and on the net-
work activity.
