Shutting Off the Engine (continued)
IMPORTANT
Lowering the cutting units relieves the hydraulic load from the system, prevents wear
on system parts, and prevents accidental lowering of the cutting units.
6. If the machine was run at full-load operation, allow the engine to idle for 5 minutes.
IMPORTANT
Idling the engine for 5 minutes allows the turbocharger to cool down before shutting
off the engine. Failure to do so may lead to turbocharger damage.
7. Rotate the key to O
FF and remove the key.
8. Wait for all moving parts to stop.

2. Repeat step 1 at the other cutting units.
Adjusting the Turf-Compensation Spring
The turf-compensation spring transfers the weight from the front roller to the rear roller. This
helps to reduce a wave pattern in the turf, also known as marcelling or bobbing.
IMPORTANT
Make spring adjustments with the cutting unit mounted to the traction unit, pointing
straight ahead and lowered to the ground.
