1.Pushthekickstanddownwithyourfootandpull
upandbackonthehandletoraisethewheels
offtheground.
2.PlacethetractionleverintotheENGAGEposition
andtheenginecontrolsinthestartingposition.
3.Attempttostarttheengine.
Theengineshouldnotstart.Iftheenginestarts,
theinterlockswitchneedsservice.Correctthe
problembeforeoperatingthemachine.Referto

4.Carefullyliftuponthehandletoreleasethe
kickstand.

2.Ensurethatthetractionandreel-drivecontrols
areintheNEUTRALposition.
3.Starttheengine;refertoStartingtheEngine

4.SetthethrottlecontroltoSLOW,tipthefrontof
themachineup,graduallyengagethetraction
drive,andslowlyincreasetheenginespeed.
5.Adjustthethrottletooperatethemoweratthe
desiredgroundspeedandtransportthemachine
tothedesireddestination.
TransportingtheMachineUsinga
Trailer
Useatrailertotransportthemachineaconsiderable
distance.Usecautionwhileloadingandunloadingthe
machineontothetrailer.
1.Carefullydrivethemachineontothetrailer.
2.Shutofftheengine,engagetheparkingbrake,
andturnthefuelvalvetotheOFFposition.
3.Useafull-widthrampforloadingthemachine
intoatrailerortruck.
4.Securelyfastenthemachinetothetrailer.

Important:Donotruntheenginewhile
transportingitonatrailerbecausedamagecan
occurtothemachine.
RemovingtheTransport
Wheels
1.ReturnthetractioncontrollevertotheNEUTRAL
position,thethrottletotheSLOWposition,and
shutofftheengine.
2.Pushthekickstanddownwithyourfootandpull
uponthehandlesupportuntilthekickstandhas
rotatedforward,overcenter.
3.Removethetransportwheelsbypushingthe
wheellockingclipsoutofthehex-shaftgrooves.
4.Carefullylowerthemachineoffofthekickstand
bypushingforwardslowlyorbyliftingthelower
handlesupport,allowingthekickstandtospring
backtotheSTORAGEposition.
UsingtheChokeLever
Usethechokelevertoaidinstartingacoldengine.
MovethelevertotheCHOKEpositionwhenstartinga
coldengine.Aftertheenginestarts,movethelever
totheRUNposition.
