Thechokecontrolislocatedbelowandtotherightof
theoperator’sseat.Tostartacoldengine,pullthechoke
controloutward(Figure16).Aftertheenginestarts,
regulatethechoketokeeptheenginerunningsmoothly.
Assoonaspossible,pushthecontrolintotheOff
position.Awarmenginerequireslittleornochoking.

Reverse,andNeutral(Figure16).Thegearshiftselector
mustbeinNeutraltostarttheengine.
Note:IfthegearshiftselectorisinReversewhenthe
ignitionisturnedon,abuzzerwillsoundtowarnthe
operator.
Important:Alwaysstopthevehiclebefore
changinggears.
IgnitionSwitch
Theignitionswitch(Figure17),usedtostartandstop
theengine,hasthreepositions:On,Off,andStart.
RotatethekeyclockwisetotheStartpositiontostartthe
engine.Whentheenginestarts,releasethekey.When
thevehicleisstopped,rotatethekeycounterclockwise
totheOffpositiontostoptheengine.Removethekey
fromtheignition.
