Piston Type Accumulator

The piston type accumulator stores high pressure water from the water pump.

The water is stored until it is needed for the injection cycle.

When the cycling valve opens, the high volume discharge is directed to the injection nozzles.

NOTE: The accumulator is precharged with 2500-PSI Dry Nitrogen.

NO SUBSTITUTE.

NOTE: Later units are equipped with a low nitrogen pressure switch.

This switch will not allow the water system to start, if the nitrogen precharge is below 1800 PSI.

Accumulator Components

The accumulator consists of the following components.

1. Accumulator body.

2. Top cap.

3. Bottom cap.

4. Piston and seals.

5. Nitrogen service valve. (test and recharge).

6. Low nitrogen switch.
