6.Runtheengineforabout3minutes,stoptheengine,
andcheckforoilleaksaroundtheoillter.
7.Checktheengineoillevelandaddoilifneeded.
SynchronizetheRemote
Transmitter/ControlModule
Iftheremoteortransmitteriseverreplaced,theremote
willhavetobere-synchronizedwiththereceiver.
1.Locatetheyellowwithblackstripewirewhichis
tuckedintothewireharnesstubingcomingfromthe
6pinconnectoratthereceiver(
Figure24).Pullthe
wireoutofthetubing.
2.Rotatetheengineignitionkeytothe“START”
positionandquicklyreleaseittothe“ON”position.
Thiswakesupthereceiver.
3.Groundthewiretothechassis.Touchingthewireto
oneoftheenginestartermotormountingfasteners
isagoodground.
4.Whilegroundingthewiretothechassis,pushand
holddownanyofthebuttonsontheremote.
5.Whilestillpressingtheremotebutton,removethe
wirefromtheground.
6.Releasetheremotebutton.
7.Pressoneofthechutedirectionbuttonstoverify
thatthere-synchronizewascompletedsuccessfully.
8.Tuckthewirebackintothetubing.

ServicingtheSparkPlugs
Ensurethattheairgapbetweenthecenterandside
electrodesiscorrectbeforeinstallingthesparkplug.
Useasparkplugwrenchforremovingandinstallingthe
sparkplugsandagappingtool/feelergaugetocheckand
adjusttheairgap.Installanewsparkplugsifnecessary.

CheckingtheSparkPlugs
ServiceInterval:Every200hours
1.Lookatthecenterofthesparkplugs(Figure25).
Ifyouseelightbrownorgrayontheinsulator,the
engineisoperatingproperly.Ablackcoatingonthe
insulatorusuallymeansthattheaircleanerisdirty.
