theenvironment.Disposeoftheseaccordingtoyour
stateandlocalregulations.
Storage
1.Turnthekeytooff.Removesparkplugwire.
Removethekey.
2.Removegrassclippings,dirt,andgrimefromthe
externalpartsoftheentiremachine,especiallythe
engine.Cleandirtandchafffromtheoutsideofthe
engine'scylinderheadnsandblowerhousing.
Important:Youcanwashthemachinewith
milddetergentandwater.Donotpressurewash
themachine.Avoidexcessiveuseofwater.
3.Servicetheaircleaner;refertoServicingtheAir
Cleaner.
4.Changethecrankcaseoil;refertoServicingthe
EngineOil.
5.Checkthetirepressure;refertoCheckingtheTire
Pressure.
6.Chargethebattery;refertoServicingtheBattery.
7.Preparethemachineforstoragewhennonuse
occursover30days.Preparemachineforstorage
asfollows.
A.Addapetroleumbasedstabilizer/conditionerto
fuelinthetank.Followmixinginstructionsfrom
stabilizermanufacture.Donotuseanalcohol
basedstabilizer(ethanolormethanol).
Note:Afuelstabilizer/conditionerismost
effectivewhenmixedwithfreshgasolineand
usedatalltimes.
B.Runenginetodistributeconditionedfuelthrough
thefuelsystem(5minutes).
C.Stopengine,allowtocoolanddrainthefueltank;
refertoServicingtheFuelTank.
D.Restartengineandrunituntilitstops.
E.Choketheengine.Startandrunengineuntilit
willnotstart.
F.Disposeoffuelproperly.Recycleasperlocal
codes.
Important:Donotstorestabilizer/conditioned
gasolineover90days.
8.Removethesparkplug(s)andcheckitscondition;
refertoServicingtheSparkPlugs.Withthe
sparkplug(s)removedfromtheengine,pour
twotablespoonsofengineoilintothesparkplug
hole.Nowusethestartertocranktheengineand
distributetheoilinsidethecylinder.Installthespark
plug(s).Donotinstallthewireonthesparkplug(s).
9.Checkandtightenallbolts,nuts,andscrews.Repair
orreplaceanypartthatisdamagedordefective.
10.Paintallscratchedorbaremetalsurfaces.Paintis
availablefromyourAuthorizedServiceDealer.
11.Storethemachineinaclean,drygarageorstorage
area.Removethekeyfromtheignitionswitchand
keepitoutofreachofchildrenorotherunauthorized
users.Coverthemachinetoprotectitandkeepit
clean.
