2.Shutofftheengineandremovethekey.
3.Removedirtandgrimefromtheexternalpartsof
theentiremachine,especiallytheengine.Clean
dirtandchafffromtheoutsideoftheengine
cylinderheadnsandblowerhousing.
Important:Youcanwashthemachinewith
milddetergentandwater.Donotpressure
washthemachine.Avoidexcessiveuse
ofwater,especiallynearthecontrolpanel,
engine,hydraulicpumps,andmotors.
4.Servicetheaircleaner;refertoServicingtheAir
Cleaner(page26).
5.Greasethemachine;refertoGreasingthe
Machine(page26).
6.Changetheengineoil;refertoChangingthe
EngineOil(page29).
7.Removethesparkplugsandcheckthecondition
ofeach;refertoServicingtheSparkPlug(s)
(page30).
8.Withthesparkplugsremovedfromtheengine,
pour2tablespoonsofengineoilintoeach
spark-plughole.
9.Placeragsoverthespark-plugholestocatch
anyoilspray,thenusethestartertocrankthe
engineanddistributetheoilinsidethecylinder.
10.Installthesparkplugs,butdonotinstallthe
wiresonthesparkplugs.
11.Chargethebattery;refertoChargingtheBattery
(page33).
12.Forstorageover30days,preparethemachine
asfollows:
A.Addapetroleum-based
stabilizer/conditionertofuelinthe
tank.Followthemixinginstructionsfrom
thestabilizermanufacturer.Donotuse
analcohol-basedstabilizer(ethanolor
methanol).
Note:Fuelstabilizer/conditionerismost
effectivewhenmixedwithfreshfueland
usedatalltimes.
