Error Codes and Exceptions
Exceptions
There are exceptions to be noted when using the thermostat. These exceptions are:
If the indoor or outdoor temperature is lower or higher than the measuring range, the temperature
display will blink either “--F” (Fahrenheit) or “--C” (Celsius) at 1.5 seconds ON and 0.5 seconds OFF.
All other outputs remain functional. Display range is -45°F to 199°F (-42.8°C to 92.8°C))
If the system fails to access EEPROM for 10 minutes, the system will blink with E3 (3s= Error Code
and 1s= Time Display). However, it will continue to operate at its current mode (refer to the section,
“Error Codes,” p. 50).
If any of the above exceptions listed should occur, the temperature control will continue to operate
normally and all outputs remain functional.
The humidity sensor error blinks 1.5 seconds ON and 0.5 seconds OFF in the humidity reading area
and blink Error Code E1 (3s= Error Code and 1s= Time Display). The humidity function will continue
to operate for readings 0% to 100% for both internal/external humidity sensors. However, the humidity
function will shut down for a communication error with the internal humidity sensor and with less that
4 mA for external humidity sensor.
