Howto Start YourPressureWasher
To start your pressure washer for thefirst time, follow these
instructions step-by-step. This starting information also
applies if you havelet the pressure washer sit idle for at least
a day.
1. Placepressure washer near an outside water source
capableof supplying water at a flow rate greater than
3.3 gallons per minute (12.5 liters per minute) and no
less than 20 PSI (1.38 BARS)at pressure washer end
of garden hose. DONOTsiphon supply water.
2. Checkthat high pressure hose is tightly connectedto
spray gun and pump. SeeAssembly section.
3. Make sure unit is in a level position.
4. Connectgarden hose to water inlet on pressurewasher
pump.
l NOTICE
DONOTrun the pump without the water supply connected
and turned on.

5. Turn ONwater, point spray gun in a safe direction and
squeezetrigger to purge pump system of air and
impurities.
6. Attach nozzleextension to spray gun. Tighten by hand.

7. Engagetrigger lock (A)on spray gun trigger.
8. Movethrottle lever(B) to "Fast" position,shown here
as a rabbit.

9. Move choke lever(C) to "Choke" I",1 position.
NOTE:Fora warm engine, be sure the choke lever is in the
"Run" l_tl position.

Whenstarting engine, position yourself as
recommendedand grasp starter grip handle and pull
slowly until you feel some resistance. Then pull rapidly
to start engine.
WARNING
Starter cord kickback (rapid retraction) can result
ll_ fin bodily injury. Kickback will pull hand and arm
,_,_ toward engine faster than you can let go.
Broken bones, fractures, bruises, or sprains
could result.
• NEVERpull starter cord without first relieving spray gun
pressure.
• When starting engine, pull cord slowly until resistance is felt and
then pull rapidly to avoid kickback.
• After each starting attempt, where enginefails to run, always
point spray gun in safedirection and squeezespray gun trigger
to release high pressure. Engagespray gun trigger lock.
• Firmly grasp spray gun with both handswhen using high
pressure spray to avoid injury when spray gun kicks back.
11. Return starter grip handle slowly. DONOTlet rope
"snap back" against starter.
12. Whenenginestarts,slowlymovechokeleverto "Run" I Jtl
position,asenginewarms, if enginefalters,movechoke
leverto "Choke" I"_1position,thento "Run" I Jtt position.
13. After each starting attempt, where enginefails to run,
alwayspoint gun in safedirection and squeezespray gun
trigger to releasehigh pressure.Move choke leverto
"Choke" I",1 position, and repeatsteps 10 through 12.
14. if engine fails to start after six pulls, move choke lever
to "Run" IJtt position, and repeatsteps 10 through 12.
NOTE:Always keepthe throttle leverin the "Fast"
position when operating the pressure washer.
