Troubleshooting
Problem
Pumphas following problems:failure

chattering,loss of pressure,low water
voJume.
Detergent faiJsto mix with spray.
Enginerunsgoodat no-loadbut "bogs"
when load is added.
Enginewiil notstart;or startsand runs
rough.
Cause
1. Low pressure spray tip installed.
2. Water inlet is blocked.
3. Inadequatewater supply.
4. inlet hose is kinked or leaking.
5. Cloggedinlet hosescreen.
6. Water supply is over IO0°F (38°C).
7. High pressure hose is blocked or
leaks.
8. Spray gun leaks.
9. Spray tip is obstructed.
10. Pump is faulty.
1. Detergentsiphoning tube is not
submerged.
2. Detergentsiphoning tube/filter is
clogged or cracked.
3. High pressure spray tip installed.
Enginespeed is too slow.
1. Low oil level.
2. Dirty air cleaner.
3. Outof fuel.
4. Stalefuel.
5. Spark plug wire not connectedto
spark plug.
6. Badspark plug.
7. Water in fuel.
8. Excessivelyrich fuel mixture.
Outof fuel.
Correction
1. Replacewith high pressure spray
tip.
2. Clearinlet.
3. Provideadequatewater flow.
4. Straighten inlet hose, patch leak.
5. Checkand clean inlet hose screen.
6. Providecooler water supply.
7. Clearblocks in outlet hose.
8. Replacespray gun.
9. Cleanspray tip.
10. Contact local service facility.
1. insert detergent siphoning tube into
detergent.
2. Cleanor replacefilter/detergent
siphoning tube.
3. Replacewith low pressure spray
tip.
Move throttle control to FASTposition. If
enginestill "bogs down", contact local
servicefacility.
1. Fillcrankcaseto proper level.
2. Cleanor replaceair cleaner.
3. Fillfuel tank.
4. Drainfuel tank;fill with fresh fuel.
5. Connectwire to spark plug.
Engineshuts down during operation.
Enginelacks power. Dirty air filter. Replaceair filter.
6. Replacespark plug.
7. Drainfuel tank;fill with fresh fuel.
8. Contact local service facility.
Fillfuel tank.
