7.9.2 Operational safety
• To charge the rechargeable batteries, only use the battery charger
approved by the manufacturer.
• Rechargeable batteries may only be used in the machine specified by
the manufacturer for this purpose.
• If a rechargeable battery is leaking, the fluid must not come into con-
tact with your skin or eyes. If contact has been made, wash the af-
fected area with plenty of water and seek immediate medical atten-
tion.
• If a rechargeable battery leaks, do not allow the contents to reach
ground water, sewage system or soil.
• Observe the polarity as indicated on the rechargeable battery and the
machine (+ and -). Ensure correct use.
• Do not use rechargeable batteries that are not intended for the ma-
chine.
• Charge rechargeable batteries before use. In this context, make sure
that the correct charging procedure is used see Start-up on page 39.
• Once the charge cycle is complete, the rechargeable battery is to be
disconnected from the battery charger.
• Rechargeable batteries have their best power output if they are oper-
ated at normal room temperature (about 20°C).
