7.9.3 General information
Do not take apart, open or deform rechargeable batteries.
Do not short-circuit rechargeable batteries.
Do not store rechargeable batteries in a box or draw as this can pose
hazards where they can short out each other or be shorted out by an-
other conductive material.
Use rechargeable batteries for their intended purpose and protect
them from damage.
Keep rechargeable batteries away from children.
Seek immediate medical attention if rechargeable battery compo-
nents are swallowed accidentally.
Use rechargeable batteries only in those applications for which they
are intended.
If possible, take the rechargeable battery out of the machine when it
is not being used.
If possible, take the rechargeable battery out of the machine when it
is being loaded and transported.
In the event of prolonged storage, remove the rechargeable battery
from the machine and store it in the original battery transport box.
Store in a dry and well-ventilated room.
Observe storage temperature, see technical data on page 56.
Dispose of properly.
In the event of fire:
Decommission the machine immediately.
Remove injured persons and others from the danger zone.
Stay away from vapors and gases, observe wind direction!
Extinguish only with water, do not use a direct stream of water.
7.10 Specific charger-related safety instructions
7.10.1 External influences
Avoid penetration of water into the battery charger.
Only use the battery charger indoors and keep away from rain and
moisture.
If it is not possible to avoid working in a damp environment, a residual
current circuit breaker must be used.
Always keep the battery charger clean and dry.
Do not expose the battery charger to any mechanical impacts.
If the connections are dirty, clean these with a dry and clean cloth.
Protect the connection cable from any aggressive media (e.g. oil),
sharp edges or moving machine parts.
Do not operate the battery charger in freezing temperatures, see
Technical data on page 56.
The battery charger may not be exposed to heat (e.g. direct sunlight)
or fire.
