Installation must follow these codes:
• Localcodes,laws,provincial and nationalcodes,laws,
regulations and ordinances
• NationalFuelGasCodeANSIZ223.1-latestedition
• StandardforControlsandSafetyDevicesforAutomatically
Fired Boilers, ANSI/ASME CSD-1, when required
• NationalElectricCode
The equipment shall be installed in accordance with those
installation regulations in force in the local area where the
installation is to be made. These shall be carefully followed
in all cases. Authorities having jurisdiction shall be consulted
before installations are made.
Canadian installations must comply with CAN/CSA B149.1
or B149.2 Installation Codes.
Commonwealth of Massachusetts
When the boiler is installed within the Commonwealth of
Massachusetts:
• Thisproductmustbeinstalledbyalicensedplumber.
• Ifantifreezeisused,areducedpressureback-owpreventer
device shall be used.
Certification
Safe lighting and other performance criteria were
met with the gas manifold and control assembly
provided on boiler when boiler underwent tests
speciedinANSIZ21.13-latestedition.
Before locating the boiler:
❏ Check for nearby connection to:
•Ventingconnections
•Gassupplypiping
•Electricalpower
❏ Check area around boiler. Remove any combustible materi-
als, gasoline and other flammable liquids.
Failure to keep boiler area clear and free of com-
bustible materials, gasoline and other flammable
liquids and vapors can result in severe personal
injury, death or substantial property damage.
❏ Boiler must be installed so that gas control system compo-
nents are protected from dripping or spraying water or rain
during operation or service.
❏ If new boiler will replace existing boiler, check for and cor-
rect system problems, such as:
•Systemleakscausingoxygencorrosionorsectioncracksfrom
hard water deposits.
