Decreasing Electrostatic Memory
The Decrease Electrostatic Memory feature reduces the instances of streaks along the edges of the
printed output.
CAUTION: Use of this feature reduces print speed and the life of toner and drum cartridges.
To enable Decrease Electrostatic Memory:
1. At the printer control panel, press the Menu button.
Note: To navigate through the menu, use the Up or Down arrow buttons.
2. Navigate to Admin Settings, then press OK.
3. Navigate to Service Tools, then press OK.
4. Select Static Memory Ctr, then press OK.
5. Select On, then press OK.
6. To return to the Ready screen, press the Menu button.
Enabling Ghost Control
The Ghost Control feature reduces the instances of ghost images on the printed output.
To enable Ghost Control:
1. At the printer control panel, press the Menu button.
Note: To navigate through the menu, use the Up or Down arrow buttons.
2. Navigate to Admin Settings, then press OK.
3. Navigate to Service Tools, then press OK.
4. Select Ghost Control, then press OK.
5. Select On, then press OK.
6. To return to the Ready screen, press the Menu button.
