VOR NAVIGATION
Entering a Desired Course
The VXA-100 can also be configured to indicate the
deviation from the desired course, not only the de-
viation from the path to the VOR station.
r Set the frequency to the desired VOR station.
r To change the “TO” or “FROM” flag to “TO”,
if it is not in that mode already.
r Press

r Set the desired course to the VOR station using
the CHANNEL selector knob or keypad (three
digits input; e.g. 47°, press

Note 1: The (“ ||

”) or (“

||”) indication will
appear on the display when your aircraft is off
the desired course.
Note 2: When your heading is correct, the ABCS
function may be more useful than the course in-
put option.
r The C
OURSE DEVIATION ARROW points to the right
when your aircraft is off course to the left, and it
points to the left when your aircraft is off course
to the right.
Note 1: To get back on course, fly right more
than the number of degrees indicated by the
C
OURSE DEVIATION ARROW.
Note 2: If the overflow indicator “u” appears
on the right side, select a heading plus 10 de-
grees to the desired course; if the overflow indi-
cator “t” appears on the left side, select a head-
ing minus 10 degrees.
ABCS Mode
In the CDI mode, the Auto Bearing Center Sys-
tem (ABCS) adds or subtracts the number of de-
grees indicated by the CDI from the Omni Bear-
ing Selector (OBS).
