Gasoline (petrol) is highly flammable,
and its vapors are flammable and explo-
sive.
8 If you have any question about prop-
erly doing the procedure, consult your
Yamaha dealer.
8 Do not perform the procedure on a
hot or running engine. Allow the
engine to cool.
8 There will be fuel in the fuel filter.
Keep away from sparks, cigarettes,
flames or other sources of ignition.
8 The procedure will allow some fuel to
spill.
Catch fuel in a rag. Wipe up any
spilled fuel immediately.
8 Improper replacement can result in a
fuel leak, which could result in a fire
or explosion hazard.
Check the fuel filter periodically.
The fuel filter is a one-piece, disposable
type. If foreign matter is found in the fil-
ter, replace it. For replacement of the
fuel filter, consult a Yamaha dealer.
