The engine cannot be started if the security
system is in the lock mode. The engine can
be started only in the unlock mode. For more
information, see the installation and owner’s
manual included with the security system.
TIP:
The security system cannot be used with
quad engine applications or Helm Master
®

Digital Electronic Control box
The digital electronic control box actuates
the shifter, the throttle and remote electrical
operations. Make sure that the active indica-
tor lights and that the digital electronic con-
trol unit is correctly connected to the
outboard motor.

Digital electronic control-active indi-
cator
The digital electronic control-active indicator
indicates that the digital electronic control
system is in the operating state.
 Lights: Operation of both shift and throttle
possible.
 Blinks (when the gear shift is in neutral
only): Shift not operable. Only throttle op-
eration available.
 Off: Shift and throttle not operable.
