You can adjust the volume levels any time by pressing the

Volume up key or Volume down key. Then touch and drag

a volume slider.

Switching to Silent Mode

You can set the phone to silent mode by using one of the

following methods.

 Press the Volume up key or the Volume down key, and

touch . Drag the ringtone slider to the minimum to switch

the phone to silent mode with vibration.

 Press and hold the Volume down key when no media or

phone call is active. When the phone vibrates, it is switched

to silent mode with vibration; press the Volume down key

again to switch to silent mode.

 Swipe down from the top of the screen to open the notification

panel and drag the panel downwards. Use the Sound button

to switch the phone to silent mode. See Use Quick Settings.

 Touch the Home key > > Settings > Sound &

notifications > Notification mode and select Vibrate or

Mute to switch to silent mode with or without vibration.

 Touch the Home key > > Settings > Sound &

notifications > Interruptions > When calls and

notifications arrive, and touch Don’t interrupt to switch the

phone to silent mode.
