4.2.5.2 Grounding
The device grounding (power supply pin 2 and ground connection) must be connected to the central
grounding point (e.g. the control cabinet or system) via the shortest possible path to ensure low
resistance. The wire or copper strip shall have a minimum cross section of 2.5mm2. This type of
grounding is mandatory for proper functionality.
4.2.6 Network requirements
As seen in Section 3.3 Hardware overview, there are 4 ethernet ports.
• ETH1: DHCP enabled
• ETH2: static
• ETH3: disabled
• ETH4: disabled
Both ETH1 and ETH2 can be used individually or together. When used together, there are a few
things to keep in mind:
1. Ensure that the subnet of the modem/router connected to ETH1 does not clash with the
ETH2 configuration.
2. ETH1 has a higher metric priority than ETH2. This means that the queried DNS will be trans-
lated by the modem that is connected to the ETH1.
3. ETH2 has a static configuration with the following characteristics:
• IP: 192.168.127.253
