To select a stored programme type,
➮ press one of the softkeys 4 corre-
sponding to the “ST1” – “ST6” display
items.
The selected programme type is displayed
briefly. To start seek tuning,
➮ press the or button 7.
The next receivable station corresponding to
your selected programme type will then be
tuned into.
Storing a programme type on a station
button
➮ Select a programme type using the or
button 7.
To store a programme type,
➮ press and hold (for longer than one sec-
ond) one of the softkeys 4 correspond-
ing to the “ST1” – “ST6” display items.
The programme type is now stored in the
selected location.
Setting the PTY language
You can set the language in which the pro-
gramme types are displayed.
➮ Press the MENU button 8.
➮ Keep pressing the or button 7 un-
til “PTY LANG” appears in the display.
To switch between the languages “DEUT-
SCH”, “ENGLISH” or “FRANCAIS”,
➮ press the or button 7.
To close the menu,
➮ press the OK button 5 or MENU but-
ton 8.
The settings are saved.
Optimising radio reception
Treble reduction feature during
interference (HICUT)
The HICUT function improves the sound dur-
ing poor radio reception. If interference oc-
curs, the treble is automatically reduced thus
reducing the interference level.
Setting HICUT
➮ Press the MENU button 8.
➮ Keep pressing the or button 7 un-
til “HICUT” appears in the display.
➮ Press the or button 7 to set HI-
CUT.
“NO HICUT” means no reduction will be
made; “HICUT 3” means a maximum auto-
matic reduction of the treble and interference
level will be carried out.
To close the menu,
➮ press the OK button 5 or MENU but-
ton 8.
The settings are saved.
Switching bandwidth during interference
(SHARX)
The SHARX function allows you to largely
avoid interference caused by neighbouring
radio stations. Switch on the SHARX func-
tion if you experience a high radio station
density.
Switching SHARX on/off
➮ Press the MENU button 8.
➮ Keep pressing the or button 7 un-
til “SHARX” appears in the display.
To switch SHARX on/off,
➮ press the or button 7.
“NO SHARX” means automatic bandwidth
switching is deactivated; “SHARX ON” means
automatic bandwidth switching is activated.
