The roller-blind cover is raised
*
when-
ever the rear window or tailgate is
opened. Before closing the rear window or tail-
gate, press the roller-blind downward until it
snaps into place.<
Expanding the luggage area
The rear-seat backrest is divided. You can fold
down either section individually as a means of
expanding the luggage area.
Reach into the recess and pull forwards.
When swinging the backrest back up,
make sure that the catch engages prop-
erly. When the catch is properly engaged, you
will not be able to see the red warning marking
in the recess. Otherwise, loads could be thrown
about inside the vehicle during strong braking
or evasive manoeuvres and endanger the car's
occupants.<
Comply with the instructions regarding
seat belts on page 32, or there will be
greater risks to personal safety.<
Partition net
Do not allow the partition net to be
retracted in an uncontrolled manner, as
otherwise there is a risk of injury, and the parti-
tion net could be damaged.<
Pull the partition net out of the casing using the
loop strap. Hold the bar on both ends and insert
it into the holders, arrow 1. This can be done
most easily from the rear seat.
When you no longer need the partition net, hold
the bar on both ends and take it out of the hold-
ers, arrow 2. Let the partition net slide back into
the casing slowly.
With expanded luggage area
1. Fold down both rear seat backs, see
Expanding the luggage area.
2. Use the buttons to release the casing on
both sides, arrow 1.
3. Pull the casing out to the rear, arrow 2, tak-
ing care not to tip it.
4. Push the casing into the guides on the rear
of the backrests.
5. Carefully pull out the partition net and insert
it into the front holders, see Partition net,
above. This can be done most easily from
the front seat.
Follow the same procedure in reverse order to
return the load area to its previous setup.
Finally, push the casing forwards into the hold-
ers on both sides until it engages. Tug on the
casing to check if it is engaged properly.
