Opening/closing topcase

Opening the topcase

• If necessary, unlock the topcase

•Turn key in topcase lock to

position A

• Press down locking cylinder

–Latch 1 snaps open

• Pull up latch 1 as far as it will go

(arrow)

• You can now open the lid of the

topcase

–Topcase lighting

B ON

C OFF

Closing the topcase

The interior light goes out auto-

matically when you close the top-

case.

•Close topcase lid

•Close latch1 until it engages

• If necessary, lock the topcase

and remove the key
