Do not disconnect the battery
from the onboard electrical sys-
tem when jump-starting the
engine.
Remove the seat ( 73).
Allow engine on support mo-
torcycle to run while jump-
starting.
Begin by clamping one end of
the red jumper cable to the
positive terminal of the dis-
charged battery and clamping
the other end to the positive
terminal of the donor battery.
Then clamp one end of the
black jumper cable to the
donor battery's negative
terminal while connecting
the other end to discharged
battery's negative terminal.
Start engine of vehicle with dis-
charged battery in usual way;
if engine does not start, wait
a few minutes before repeat-
ing attempt in order to protect
starter motor and donor bat-
tery.
Allow both engines to idle for a
few minutes before disconnect-
ing jumper cables.
Disconnect jumper lead from
negative terminal first, then
from positive terminal.

Replace bulb for high-
beam headlight
NOTICE

through the procedure for replac-
ing the left bulb. Replacement is
carried out in the same way on
the right side.
Turn slipstream deflector 1 out.
Remove screw 2 and work
side cover 3 to the rear and
remove.
Remove screw 1.
