Adjusting mirror arm
Push protective cap 1 up
over the threaded fastener
on the mirror arm.
Slacken union nut 2.
Turn the mirror arm to the
appropriate position.
Retighten union nut 2.
Mirror to clamping
piece
25 Nm
Pull protective cap 1 over
the threaded fastener.
Adjusting windscreen
Slacken clamping screws 1
on left and right.
Pivot the windscreen for-
ward or back to the desired
position.
You can set the wind-
screen to any of several
different positions.
Make sure that clamping
screws 1 on left and
right are symmetrically
positioned.
Tighten the clamping
screws.
Spring preload
Spring preload and
weight
It is essential to set spring
preload of the rear suspen-
sion to suit the load carried
by the motorcycle. Increase
spring preload when the mo-
torcycle is heavily loaded and
reduce spring preload ac-
cordingly when the motor-
cycle is lightly loaded.
Adjusting spring preload
for rear wheel
Your motorcycle's hand-
ling will suffer if you do
not match the spring-preload
and damping-characteristic
settings.
Adjust the damping
characteristic to suit spring
preload.
