The EHWIC slots on both sides of a slot divider must be empty before you remove the slot divider.

Before You Begin
Make sure that you connect the wrist-strap clip to an unpainted portion of the chassis frame to channel unwanted
ESD voltages to ground.

Step 1 Remove any installed interface cards and blank faceplates from the router slot you plan to use.
Step 2 Loosen the retention screw on the slot divider. See Figure 24: Cisco ISR G2 EHWIC Slot Divider, on page
50.

Step 3 Pull the slot divider straight out of the EHWIC slot.
