Servicing the Precleaner
Washand reoilthe precleanerevery25 hoursof
operation(moreoftenunderextremelydustyordirty
conditions),Replacetheprecleanerannuallyor every
100hours,
1. Openthe dooron theblowerhousingto accessthe air
cleanerelementand precleaner.
2. Unhookthe latchandremovethe precleanerfromthe
air filterelement,SeeFigure19.
NOTE:Theair filterelement/precleanerassemblycan
be removedandthe precleanerthen removedfromthe
filterelement,Makesurethebaseandthe sealingareais
cleanbeforereinstallingthe airfilterelement/precleaner
assembly,
3. Washtheprecleanerinwarmwaterwithdetergent,
Rinsetheprecleanerthoroughlyuntilall tracesof
detergentare eliminated.Squeezeout excesswater
(do notwring),Allowthe precleanerto air dry.

* Removethe precleanerfromthe filterelement.
* Gentlytapthe paperelementto dislodgedirt. Do
notwashthepaperelementor usepressurizedair,
asthiswilldamagetheelement.Replacea dirty,
bent,or damagedelement.Do notuseifthesealing
surfacesarebentor damaged.
* Cleantheair cleanerbaseandcheck itscondition.
° Reinstallthe precleaneroverthe paperair cleaner
elementand installon base.Securewiththe latch
andclosetheaccessdoor.
