Prerequisites
1. Remove the base cover.
2. Remove the
wireless card.
3. Remove the solid-state drive.
4. Remove the rear-I/O cover.
5. Remove the computer base.
6. Remove the battery.
Procedure
1. Open the latches and disconnect the touch-pad cable from the system board and touch pad.
2. Peel off the touch-pad cable from the touch-pad bracket.
3. Open the latch and disconnect the touch-pad buttons cable from the touch pad.
4. Remove the five screws (M2x3) that secure the touch-pad bracket to the palm-rest assembly.
5. Using a plastic scribe, lift the touch-pad bracket off the palm-rest assembly.
