Removing the Hinge Cover


1. Follow the procedures in Before Working on Your Computer.

2. Turn the computer to the front and open the display all the way (180 degrees).

3. Insert a plastic scribe into the notch of the raised parts of the hinge cover at the back of the computer, and pry up to loosen the hinge cover.

4. Lift up on the right notch where indicated with the plastic scribe. Slide the hinge cover to the right and lift it up at the left side.
Replacing the Hinge Cover


1. Place the hinge cover back on to the computer, aligning the cover with the notches on the display.

2. Press down on the hinge cover until it snaps into place.

3. Follow the procedures in After Working on Your Computer.
