Remove the base cover.

Procedure
1 Open the latch and disconnect the display cable from the system board.
2 Remove the display cable from the routing guides on the fan.
3 Disconnect the fan cable from the system board.
4 Remove the two screws (M2.5x6) that secure the fan to the palm rest and keyboard assembly.
