Nummerierung der NICs
Bei Linux-Betriebssystemen mit dem udev -Kernel-Gerätemanager erfolgt
die Nummerierung der NICs anders als bei früheren Linux-Versionen mit
dem
devfs -Gerätemanager. Wenngleich dadurch die Systemfunktion nicht
beeinträchtigt wird, werden unter Red Hat
®
Enterprise Linux
®
(Version 4
oder 5) und SUSE
®
Linux Enterprise Server 9 oder 10 die NICs in umgekehrter
Reihenfolge nummeriert: NIC1 wird als
eth1 statt eth0 konfiguriert, und NIC2
wird als
eth0 statt eth1 konfiguriert. Informationen zum Ändern der Standard-
Gerätenummerierung finden Sie im Whitepaper „Network Interface Card
Naming“ (Benennung von Netzwerkschnittstellenkarten), das unter
linux.dell.com bereitgestellt ist.
RHEL – Unzutreffende Prozessor-Informationen
• Wenn ein Prozessor der Reihe Intel Xeon 54xx in einem System installiert
ist, auf dem RHEL Version 4 Update 5 läuft und bei dem im BIOS das
bedarfsorientiere Switching (Demand-Based Switching) aktiviert ist,
zeigen
cat/proc/cpuinfo und
cat/sys/devices/system/cpu/cpuxx/cpufreq/scaling_
cur_freq
die Prozessortaktrate nicht korrekt an. (Dies hat keine
Auswirkungen auf die tatsächliche Prozessortaktrate.)
• Wenn ein Prozessor der Reihe Intel Xeon 54
xx in einem System installiert
ist, auf dem RHEL Version 3 Update 9 läuft, zeigt
/proc/cpuinfo
die Prozessortaktrate nicht korrekt an. (Dies hat keine Auswirkungen
auf die tatsächliche Prozessortaktrate.)
Dieses Verhalten wird in einem künftigen Update zu RHEL 4 korrigiert.
