7.2. Maintenance Schedule

Preventive Maintenance (Refer to Section)
Avoid placing load too close to supply duct.
Time to temperature: record heating times for
similar loads. If heating times are slowing, it
could indicate a need for maintenance.
Inspect door seals and marinite ends for
proper seating, damage and/or tears. (Refer
to Section 7.4.)
Inspect door operation. Doors should open
and close securely, without jerking or
slamming. (Refer to Section 7.5.)
Check tightness of all screws, bolts, and
fasteners. (Refer to Section 7.6.)
Lubricate all door latches, hinges, door
operating mechanisms, and wear surfaces.
(Refer to Section 7.9.)
Visually inspect for dirt, debris and free
movement of parts and controls. (Refer to
Sections 7.10 & 7.11.)
Clean as needed & after servicing. (Refer to
Section 7.15.)
Check fresh air and exhaust dampers.
Check fan vibration: Recirculation and exhaust
(if installed). (Refer to Section 7.7.)
Inspect louvers (if installed).
Measure and record recirculation fan motor
amps. This will give a rough indication of fan
efficiency. (Refer to Section 7.7.)
Measure and record heater amps. This will
give a rough indication of heater performance.
