Factory Reset
This function resets the RPx400 to its original factory settings. This procedure erase all custom user presets,
and recalibrate the Expression Pedal.
ATTENTION: Performing this function erases all user-programmed data. Be sure you want to
erase the memory and start fresh before continuing with this procedure.
The procedure for performing a Factory Reset is as follows:
1. Disconnect the power supply from the RPx400.
2. Press and hold the Select button while re-connecting the power to the RPx400.
3. When the display reads
rst ?,release the Select button and press the Store button. The display reads
reset indicating that the RPx400 has reset the original factory settings. At this point, the RPx400 auto-
matically advances to the Expression Pedal calibration menu. Follow steps 4 through 7 of the Expression
Pedal calibration section.
Expression Pedal Calibration
The Expression Pedal needs to be recalibrated after a factory reset. This function is automatically prompted
after a factory reset. In the event the pedal’s calibration fails, or if the pedal does not function properly, it can
be re-calibrated using the Pedal Calibration function. This does not erase the User Presets. The procedure
for Calibrating the Expression Pedal is as follows:
1. Disconnect the PS0913B power supply from the power jack on the RPx400.
2. Press and hold the Down Footswitch while re-connecting the power.
3. Continue to hold the Down Footswitch until the display briefly reads calib (calibration).
4. When the display reads TOE DN,rock the Expression Pedal forward to the toe down position.
5. Press any footswitch. The display reads toe up.
6. Rock the Expression Pedal back to the toe up position.
7. Press any footswitch. The display reads VSWTCH indicating you have entered the V-Switch Sensitivity menu.
8. If you do not want to adjust the V-Switch sensitivity, press any footswitch to return to Performance Mode.
Note: If error displays, an error has occurred and steps 4 through 8 should be repeated.
V-Switch Sensitivity
If you want to adjust the sensitivity setting of the V-Switch, follow steps 1 through 7 of Calibrating the
Expression Pedal and then follow the steps listed below:
1. When the display reads VSWTCH,rock the Expression Pedal forward (toe down) and apply extra pressure
on the toe of the pedal until the display reads DONE.
2. When display alternates between DONE (with the V-Switch sensitivity value in the numeric Display) and
VSWTCHOn (or VSWTCHOf depending on whether the V-Switch is on or off), you can audition the V-
Switch sensitivity by applying pressure to the toe of the Expression Pedal.
3. Rotate the Number 5 Knob to change the value of the V-Switch sensitivity. You can audition the new value
by applying pressure to the toe of the Expression Pedal.
4. Once the sensitivity value is selected, press any footswitch. The RPx400 returns to Performance Mode
and your settings are automatically saved.
