Recycling the Used Battery or UPS
Contact your local recycling or hazardous waste center for information on proper
disposal of the used battery or UPS.
W A R N I N G
S Do not dispose of the battery or batteries in a fire. Batteries may explode. Proper disposal of batteries is
required. Refer to your local codes for disposal requirements.
S Do not open or mutilate the battery or batteries. Released electrolyte is harmful to the skin and eyes. It
may be toxic.
C A U T I O N
Do not discard the UPS or the UPS batteries in the trash. This product contains sealed, lead‐acid batteries
and must be disposed of properly. For more information, contact your local recycling/reuse or hazardous
waste center.

Updating the UPS Firmware
To keep the UPS firmware updated with the latest improvements and benefits, visit
www.eaton.com/powerquality often for updates. You can download the latest
firmware version. The downloadable file includes the instructions for installing the
update.
NOTE Firmware v2.0 does not operate in a parallel system with v1.xx. When adding a new UPS to a
parallel system, verify that all UPSs in the parallel system are updated to v2.x. See Step 15 on page 62 to
view the firmware version on the display panel.
