10. Press any button on the front panel display to activate the menu options. Select
CONTROL and GO TO BYPASS MODE.
The indicator illuminates solid and the indicator flashes, indicating the
UPS is operating in Bypass mode. The load is now powered by utility power.
If the
indicator is flashing, do not proceed until all alarms are clear. Check the
UPS status from the front panel to view the active alarms. Correct the alarms and
restart if necessary.
11. Switch the load connector circuit breaker to the ON (
) position.
12. Press the
ESC
button until the Start screen appears.
Standalone UPS Shutdown
To shut down a standalone UPS (see Figure 32 on page 43):
1. Switch the load connector circuit breaker to the OFF (O) position.
NOTE The load connector breaker controls the load connector only, not the output power cord.
2. Press any button on the front panel display to activate the menu options. Select
TURN UPS ON/OFF, TURN UPS OFF, and press the button.
3. Confirm the selection. Press and hold the
button for three seconds, until the
UPS stops beeping.
The output relays open, the UPS transfers to Standby mode, and the
indicator turns off.
4. Switch the UPS battery circuit breaker to the OFF (O) position.
5. If optional EBMs are installed, switch all EBM battery circuit breakers to the
OFF (O) position.
6. Switch the UPS input circuit breaker to the OFF (O) position.
7. Switch off utility power where the UPS is connected.
Individual Paralleled UPS Shutdown
To shut down an individual UPS in the parallel system (see Figure 32 on page 43):
1. Switch the load connector circuit breaker to the OFF (O) position.
NOTE The load connector breaker controls the load connector only, not the output power cord.
2. Press any button on the front panel display to activate the menu options. Select
TURN UPS ON/OFF, TURN UPS OFF, and press the
button.
3. Confirm the selection. Press and hold the
button for three seconds, until the
UPS stops beeping.
The output relays open, the UPS transfers to Standby mode, and the
indicator turns off.
4. Switch the UPS battery circuit breaker to the OFF (O) position.
