6.8. Temperature Calibration
The Calibration Procedure document (ref. DP004U) can be found on the CD-ROM that
is shipped with the camera. The entire operation description is readily applicable to
your SC2500 camera. Due to its spectral sensitivity, the SC2500 camera can be
calibrated between 400 °C and 3000 °C. We recommend you to use the following
filters when attempting at camera calibrations (available from FLIR):
- Temperature range from 400°C to 1200°C: High Temperature Filter ref. F0512,
- Temperature range from 1200°C to 3000°C : Very High Temperature Filter ref.
F0512 + F0122
In order to use your SC2500 camera for temperature measurement, we recommend
you to carefully read the DP004U-B Calibration Procedure document.
You’ll notice that the lens(es) that has(ve) been calibrated with the camera
has(ve) an index mark on the f/number adjustment ring:
Temperature readings will only be valid if the index mark matches with the
f/number index.
