TURNING
THE
UNIT
ON
AND
OFF

SCANNER
switch
is
turned
on,
press
the

touchpad
and
power
is
appUed
to
all
circuits
of
the
radar
system.
The
touchpad
panel
will
Hght
up,
the
antenna
will
begin
to
rotete,
but
no
targets
appeal*
on
tha
CRT.
This
is
becauae
the
eiagnetroii
ijeeda
approximately
2
min.
and
30
sec.
to
warm
up
before
the
radar
can
be
operated.
The
time
remaining
for
warm
up
of
the
magnetron
is
displayed
at
the
center
of
the
CRT.

to
0:01.
Press
both
the
off.
JS-
and
touchpads
at
the
same
time
to
turn
the
system
SETTING
UP
After
power
is
apphed
and
the
magnetron
has
warmed
up,
the
message
"ST-BV"
(Standby)
will
appear
at
center
of
the
display
screen,
indicating
the
radar
is
ready
to
transmit.
However,
no
targets
will
appear
on
the
screen
untll
the
radar
Is
put
into
tran
smit
by
pressing
the
CS
touchpad
(TX
is
short
for
"transmit").
In
ST-BY
the
radar
is
available
for
use
at
any
time
the
scanner
is
rotating,
but
no
radar
waves
are
being
transmitted.
Press
the
touchpad
to
begin
transmission;
the
display
screen
will
light
up,
and
t
he
stat
us
of
the
y^cators
on
the
display
screen
will
default
to
the
ON,
and
all
other
indicators,
OFF.

of

display.

on
the
ring
is
marked
by
a
short
dashed
line,
and
every
ten
degrees
by
a
longer
dashed
