7. Push the junction box below the opening.
8. Remove the two T-20 Torx screws from the top
of the rear shroud cover.
9. Remove the four T-20 Torx screws from the
bottom of the rear shroud cover.
To remove the rear shroud:
Note: The rear shroud is attached to the top of
the tank with 4 screws and 3 tabs, and to the rear
shroud cover with 4 screws.
1. Remove the front shroud. (See To remove the
front shroud, this section.)
2. Remove the two T-20 Torx screws from each
front bottom corner.
3. Remove the four T-20 Torx screws from the top
of the rear shroud.
4. Pull the bottom of the rear shroud out, then
remove it from the water heater.
10. Lift the rear shroud cover from the rear shroud.
