Condensate Drain Pan
The condensate drain pan is located directly
underneath the evaporator. The pan has a
primary drain outlet that is intended to transfer all
condensate outside the machine compartment. An
overow tube will drain the condensate in case of
primary drain restriction.

To remove the condensate drain pan:
1. Remove any drain apparatus connected to the
condensate pan.
2. Remove the rear shroud cover and the
rear shroud as 1 assembly. (See Machine
Compartment Covers.)
3. Remove the wires from the 3 wire retainers
located on the front of the condensate drain
pan.

4. Remove the 1/4-in. hex-head screw that
attaches the right side of the evaporator to the
condensate drain pan.
5. Remove the two 5/16-in. hex-head screws that
attach the right side of the condensate drain
pan to the water heater.
6. Remove the 1/4-in. hex-head screw that
attaches the left side of the evaporator to the
condensate drain pan.
7. Remove the two 5/16-in. hex-head screws that
attach the left side of the condensate drain pan
to the water heater.
8. Lift the evaporator up from the condensate
drain pan, then lift up the condensate drain pan
about 1/2 inch and slide the pan out.
