Read these instructions completely and carefully.
[] Connect the Range to the Gas Supply
Shut off the main gas supply valve before disconnecting the old range and leave it off until the
new hookup has been completed. Don't forget to relight the pilot on other gas appliances when
you turn the gas back on.
Because hard piping restricts moven_ent of tile
range, tile rise ot a CSA International-certified
flexible metal appliance com_ector is re_)mmended
mfless local codes require a hard-piped com_ection.
Never use an old connector when installing a
new range. If tile hard piping method is used,
you must carefully align tile pipe; tile range
cannot be i/loved atier tile connection is nlade.
To prevent gas leaks, put pipe joint compotmd
on, or wrap pipe thread tape with Tetlon'::
aro/md, all male (external) pipe threads.
[] Inst;fll a manual gas line shut-off x flxe in the
gas line in an easily accessed location outside
ot the range. Make sure e\'e_wone operating
the range knows where and 1low to shut off
the gas supply to the range.

the 1/2" NPT internal thread elbow at inlet
of regulatm: Use a backup wrench on tile
regulator fitting to avoid damage.

adapter to the NPT internal thread of the
manual shut-offwflve, taking care to backup
tile sh m-off valve to kee I) it fl'om turning.
[] (_onnect flexible metal appliance com_ector
to tile adapter on tile range. Position range
to pemfit cmmection at tile shut-offwflve.
[] _,_q/en all connections haxe been made, make
sm'e all range controls are in tile off position
and tm'n on the main gas supply \;live. Use
a liquid leak detector at all joints and
connections to check fin" leaks in tile s\stem.
CAUTION: DO NOT USE A
FLAME TO CHECKFOR GAS LEAKS.
X_]/en using test pressm'es greater than l/2 psig
to pressm'e test tile gas supply system of tile
residence, discom_ect the range and individual
shut-ofl'wflve fl'om tile gas supply piping. _4]/en
using test pressm'es of 1/9 psig or less to test the
gas supply s):stem, simply isolate tile range fl'om
the gas supply sysmm by closing the individual
sh ut-ofl wflve.
