4.4 DRIVING THE TRACTOR
Before starting out, check to make sure the brakes are working correctly.
Parking brake (n.18 fig.1) lowered.
Disengage the clutch by pressing down pedal n.23 fig.1
Select the speed range (lever n.26 fig.1). Positions (see fig.5):
With lever in normal position (raised):
O = Neutral
R = Creep
RM= Reverse
Pushing the lever lower:
M = Normal
V = Fast
Engage the gear you want with the gear change lever (n.2 fig.1). Positions
(see fig.6)
With the lever in its normal position (raised):
O = Neutral
1 = 1st gear
2 = 2nd gear
Pushing down on the lever:
3 = 3rd gear
4 = 4th gear
Do not ride the clutch as this will cause wear on the thrust bearing.
