6 Before You Start
For the first time use of the device, you are required to activate the device and set the
activation password. You can activate the device via internet with Batch Configuration
Tool, or with iVMS-4200 client software.
To activate the device with Batch Configuration Tool or iVMS-4200, refer
to 8 Remote Operation via Batch Configuration Tool or 9 Remote
Operation via iVMS-4200 Client Software.
To activate the device locally, refer to 7 Local Operation.
To configure the key parameters of device on the user interface of door station, you are
required to input the admin password. Here the admin password refers to the
configuration password.
The default admin password (configuration password) is 888999.
You can set the login password of the device by yourself.
You must change the default credential to protect against unauthorized access to the
product. Please refer to 7.4.3 Changing Password.
