OPERATION
Trimming Tips
l Turn to the left around trees, bushes, etc.
l Drive slowly. Avoid hitting trees, bushes, etc.
l If ground slopes up to a tree or bush, you may have to approach
the tree or bush straight-on to avoid scalping.
To Avoid Scalping
l Pay attention to the way you drive. You can eliminate scalping.
l If mower scalps easily, cutting height may be too low for ground
conditions, especially on lawns with many small mounds and
ridges.
l Anti-scalp rollers must be adjusted correctly.
l Drive over ridges and through shallow ditches straight-on, not at an
angle.
l Keep blades sharp. Dull blades will tear grass. If grass is torn, tips
will turn brown.
l Check lawn regularly for uneven cut. If cut is uneven:
l Check mower to make sure it is level.
l Slow down before you make turns.
l Check blades to make sure they are sharp.
