The anodes are made of a sacrificial
material that helps to protect the
outboard motor from corrosion.
There are two anodes on the gear
case, one on the stern bracket, and
two small anodes in the water
passages of the engine block.
The portable fuel tank (optional
equipment) has a capacity of US
gal ( ) and has a fuel gauge built
into the cap.
The cap is provided with a vent knob
to seal the portable fuel tank
(optional equipment) for carrying it
to and from the boat. Open the vent
knob 2 or 3 turns before starting the
