The
START/STOP UNIT command requests
the
Target to enable
or
disable
the
logical unit
for further operations.

IMMED (Immediate). If the IMMED
bit
is
set
to
one (1),
status
will
be
returned as soon
as the operation is initiated.
The
Target will respond to all commands received prior
to
the
completion of
the
spin-up sequence with a
status
of CHECK CONDITION.
The
response to a
Request Sense command will be a Sense Key of NOT READY.
If
IMMED is set
to
zero (0),
status
will be returned after
the
operation is completed.
Start.
A START bit of one (1) requests
the
logical unit be made ready for use. A START bit
of zero
(0) requests
that
the
logical unit be made not ready for use by stopping the spindle
motor until
the
next START UNIT command is sent. .
