Turning on the data service
1. On the home screen, touch .
2. Under All , touch Mobile networks .
3. Touch Data connection , and select the SIM card on which you want to turn
on the data service.
When you don't need to access the Internet, turn off the data service to
save battery power and reduce data usage.
Creating an APN
The Access Point Name (APN) is used to connect to a mobile network and to
send multimedia messages. It is usually set automatically after you insert a
SIM card into your phone. If your phone cannot connect to a mobile network
using the APN, contact your service provider for the correct settings and
create a new APN.
1. On the home screen, touch .
2. Under All , touch Mobile networks .
3. Touch Access Point Names .
4. Select the SIM card on which you want to create an APN.
5. Touch > New APN .
6. Enter the access point name and other parameters.
7. Touch SAVE .
In the APN list, touch > Reset to default to reset the APN
information.
